One stock record, always up to date

The biggest problem with tracking stock separately from sales is that the two never agree. AririPOS solves it by making inventory a by-product of trading. Every completed sale reduces stock at the item level. Every supplier purchase you record increases it. Every edited or deleted sale reverses the stock movement it created. There is no separate stock-take file to maintain.

Because stock is tied to the transaction, you can trace a discrepancy back to the sale, the cashier and the time it happened, rather than guessing at the end of the month.

Products, categories, brands and suppliers

Each product carries a name, SKU, barcode, category, brand, supplier, cost price, selling price and optional wholesale and VIP prices. Categories keep large catalogues navigable, brands help you compare performance between suppliers, and supplier links make reordering straightforward.

You can generate a barcode for products that arrive without one, print shelf and product labels from the Labels page, and upload a product image so cashiers recognise items instantly on a touch screen.

Units, variations and refillable stock

Kenyan retail rarely sells in one unit. A shop buys a bale and sells packets; a distributor buys a carton and sells outers. AririPOS lets a product hold variations with their own price, SKU, stock and unit factor, so selling one box automatically deducts the right number of pieces from the underlying stock.

Refillable products such as LPG cylinders, drinking water and returnable bottles are handled separately. A refill reduces only the content, while selling a new filled container reduces both container and content stock, so your cylinder count stays accurate.

Purchases, reordering and valuation

Record purchases with a reference number, supplier, quantity and cost, plus how much you paid and how much remains due. The system updates stock and keeps a supplier balance so you know what you owe.

On the dashboard, the low-stock card lists everything at or below its alert quantity, and the stock value card shows what your inventory is worth at cost and at retail price. Combined with the profit figures, that tells you whether your capital is working or sitting on a shelf.

Everything keeps working offline. Stock movements queue on the device and sync automatically when the connection is back, so a network outage never stops the shop.

Frequently asked questions

Does AririPOS track stock automatically?

Yes. Selling an item reduces stock and recording a supplier purchase increases it, so your stock balance is always current without manual adjustments.

Can I manage stock for more than one type of unit?

Yes. A product can be sold as a piece, box, bale, outer, sachet or any unit you define, and AririPOS converts between them using the unit factor you set.

Will it warn me before I run out?

Each product has an alert quantity. Anything at or below that level appears on the low-stock list on the dashboard so you can reorder in time.

Can I see how much my stock is worth?

Yes. The dashboard shows total stock value at cost and at retail price, plus the potential profit sitting on your shelves.
